I’m not cool enough to have an iPhone or a data plan on my cell phone, but I still use it to capture fun stuff.

If you walk out to the end of our driveway and look east, you’ll see this:

I swear, I don’t understand what it is… We both bathe regularly, we keep our grass cut, and I only pee in the back yard every once in a while…

But it’s seriously been depressing me lately how empty our side of the street is. There’s a great house right next door to us for sale! Come be our neighbors!

No? Ok. But please pray for God to send us some awesome neighbors! I know He will… eventually.

Most of my friends know that I spent a year in Uzbekistan, and that I would give a lot to go back.

I posted a bazillion pics from my trip when I first came home, but the server I used for those has become bogged down with spam, and most of the folks who read this blog now didn’t way back when those photos were new to me.

So, I’m slowly porting some of them over to Flickr, complete with explanations and everything.

Not only that, but if you spot a photo you particularly like, I’d love to sell you the full-size version for any price, and I’ll give the proceeds to support many close friends who are working to spread the Kingdom of Jesus in Central Asia.

(For a point of reference, $20 is enough to support one full-time native believer within the country for one month)

Steph and I had a great camping trip this past weekend. Hopefully she’ll find some time to tell you all about it, but in the meantime, here are some photos we took.

So far, *one* person has noticed… I don’t know whether that means that people don’t care, or they don’t like it and they don’t want to tell me…

Either way, I probably won’t do that again for a while…

What’s something about your look that you don’t like changing?

If you just glance at this picture, you probably won’t notice anything… it looks overcast, maybe rainy. Maybe it’s dusk or dawn…

The thing is, I took this at 2:30 today, and it’s at least 90 degrees with the sun shining. The hazy look is because there’s a ton of smoke in our air today from a brush fire in Columbia, NC — 150 miles away!

Last night I got home from a long day at work. I was feeling WAY mentally drained, and all I really wanted to do was veg…

Steph needed me to run to the grocery store to pick up a couple of things, so I put on my trusty NC State hat and ran out to run a couple of errands. I was in one of those moods where I rolled the windows down, turned the radio up, and just tried to breathe the stress of my day away.

Since I had Steph’s car, I went ahead and filled it up with gas, since cringes every time she has to spend those thirty bucks to get around town.

When I got back in the car, I had this text message:

“I love you. Thanks for being you and for being my knight in shining armor. -Steph”

Ladies, take note. If you want to give your man an adrenaline shot in the arm, just communicate that you are proud of him…. that you appreciate him.

By the time I got to the grocery store, I felt 100 pounds lighter, and it freed me up to have a great night with my wife!
